The Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park is a beloved Yuma destination. Many people from all over the world travel to Yuma just to visit this museum. The eye catching and one of the most known pieces of this museum is the Sally Port. The Sally Port was where all prisoners and wagons would enter the prison and be inspected for contraband and prisoners who attempted to escape the prison. This historical structure is still the entrance into Yuma’s infamous historical prison and is crumbling from the top to the bottom. We are asking for support to help save this historical treasure so we can continue sharing Yuma’s history all over the world.
